The Berwick 60+ Mixed Triples Tournament was held in Nanaimo June 18th and 19th. The results are as follows: First place went to Tony Morris, Shelley Howieson and Colin Lloyd of the Qualicum Beach Lawn Bowling Club, who scored 12 points. Brian Scheer, Glen Greenhill and Linda Meers of Courtenay took second with 10 points. Another Courtenay club with members Hal Gray, Zoltan Pataky and Joan Matheson earned third place with 9 points. Mike Ward, Helen Roberts and James MacDonald from Qualicum scored 9 points and took fourth. Rounding out the top five with 9 points was Parksville’s Rick Dolley, Sandi Mitchell and Merry Danarti.
The Nanaimo club would like to thank all those who made this tournament a success, starting with Berwick on the Lake. Also a big thank you to the grounds keepers, games people, kitchen, and the players who attended this mid-week tournament.

District Novice & Intermediate Singles Tournament – Qualicum
Games are scheduled to be played Saturday at 9am, 11am, 1pm and Sunday at 9am, 11am.
There will be eight rinks in play for Saturday but Sunday requiring only four rinks.
Novices play Saturday only, Intermediates both days.
What a great time to gather with friends and fellow lawn bowlers. Have fun, share some laughs, get to know one another a little better, and make some friends.
This Social time happens in the winter session from 3:00 to 4:30 after short Mat on Fridays and Sundays, and during the summer, after the Friday and Sunday afternoon games.
Cold drinks are available from the bar, and soft drinks and water from the fridge and if you prefer a hot tea, that can also be available.
This is a great way to support your club and maybe make a few new friends.

There will be 2 x 10 end games likely at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm
Players will meet in Parksville at a time to be set to carpool together.
Bring a brown bag lunch.
