Another Successful Year of Jack and Jill
July 20, 2023
Parksville Lawn Bowling Club
Parksville Lawn Bowling Club held its annual Jack and Jill Tournament on July 19th and 20th. It was wonderful seeing so many people out there, novices and experienced bowlers alike in this event. The tournament had both an early and late draw component this year. The early draw winners were Robbie Thomas and Bob Ashton. Second came Janet Harding and Tex Gooding. Beverly Benson and Peter Scott came in third.
In the late draw the winners were Aase McMullin and Keith Terlson. Sandi Mitchell and Bob Dolman came second and Chris Fereday and Andrew Adamson took third.
Overall winners of the event were Aase McMullin and Keith Terlson who will receive luggage tags and their names on the trophy. The rest of the winners overall were Sandi Mitchell and Bob Dolman (second), Robbie Thomas and Bob Ashton (third), Janet Harding and Tex Gooding (fourth), Beverly Benson and Peter Scott (fifth) and finally, Chris Fereday and Andrew Adamson (sixth).
Thanks to all who made this event so successful. Your participation and effort is what makes this club work. Happy bowling everyone.
Congratulations to Keith and Aase as overall winners of the 2023 Jack and Jill Tournament. Well done!

Social Hour
What a great time to gather with friends and fellow lawn bowlers. Have fun, share some laughs, get to know one another a little better, and make some friends.
This Social time happens in the winter session from 3:00 to 4:30 after short Mat on Fridays, and during the summer, after the Friday afternoon games.
Cold drinks are available from the bar, and soft drinks and water from the fridge and if you prefer a hot tea, that can also be available.
This is a great way to support your club and maybe make a few new friends.
