Twisted Triples League
This league is gender neutral.
Laws of the Sport of Bowls, Crystal Mark 4, 2022, will apply with the following provisions:
Start time is 6:30 pm. 3 bowls per player. No trial ends. Registration $ 5.00 pp
Team Composition:
Skip and Vice will trade positions each game (must be indicated on score card..
Lead must be a bowler with less than 4 years bowling experience, and will remain as Lead throughout the league play.
Games must be played on the scheduled evening unless rained out, OR under special circumstances, with the approval of the opposing team, games may be rescheduled. Any special circumstances game should be played prior to the next scheduled game.
Rain-outs – The league director, or the greenskeeper, will determine if conditions are too poor to play. Rained-out games are to be completed before the next scheduled game.
Default – A team will default their game if they are not ready to bowl by 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. The game will be scored in favour of the non-defaulting team and the average of shots for and against from all the games played that evening will be awarded.
Spares – each team is allowed ONE spare for the 5 scheduled games. Skips must note the use of a spare on the score sheet.
Respotting the Jack – if the jack passes outside the boundaries of the rink it will be respotted on the centre line, 2 meters from the front of the ditch.
Scoring – 3 points for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss. Shots for and against will be recorded. Ends won are not relevant.
Final standings will be determined by game points. If tied for game points, the tie will be broken by the best positive shot differential +-10, with the highest number prevailing.
