Port Alberni Strawberry Bowl Winners

It was another busy lawn bowling weekend, this time in Port Alberni.  June 28th and 29th saw the men and women playing in some very warm temperatures, and the bowling was pretty hot, too.

In first place for the women, it was our club’s Merry Danarti and Sandi Mitchell  earning the honours and repeating from last year.  Second place went to Nanaimo’s Frances Tester and Kathleen Hewitt.

On the men’s side, Vern Greenhill and Dean Penny took home first place, while our own Bob Allaby and Bob Merrell (The Bobs), earned second place.

A very big thank you goes out to everyone from the Port Alberni Lawn Bowling Club who made this  such a fun and successful event.
