Club Novice and Intermediate Champs Decided

Parksville Lawn Bowling Club held its annual Singles and Intermediate Men’s and Women’s Championship August 1 & 2.  The green speed was up as were the temperatures, with games played under sunny skies and light winds.

Congratulations go out to the following people.  On the  novice men’s side, it was Randy Hall with 12/7/29 differential, beating out Christian Lane with a 9/6/17 record.   For the women’s novice event, it was Connie Bach with a 6/4/18  final.  Nancy Warner came in at number two with a 6/4/8 score.

On the Intermediate side , it was Keith Goertzen for the men, and Debbie Taylor for the women.  Both will get their names on the respective trophies, plus bag tags, as well.

There are so many people to thank that made this event what it was.  Thanks to Susan Corcoran and Joey Merrell (games), the kitchen crew, umpires, bartenders, players,  grounds crew, spectators, markers, Chuck for photos and the coaches.

Winners from these events go on to represent our club at the district finals.  If they are unable to attend, the second place winners will be able to represent us within the zone.
