There will be a Thirds/Skips clinic on July 6 at 1:00 till 2:00.
The clinic is to discuss the things you should know when playing in the position of third or skip. Registration opens June 19 and ends July 3.

I believe we have a sufficient number of spares at this time and I intend to reach out to each of you by the middle of next week to let you know if you will be playing and/or on which days and/or times.

As of July 7 we will be moving our Wednesday night Draw to Tuesday night with tags in by 6:15 for a 10 end Draw.
We currently do not have a Draw Master for this Draw. Could you please contact Joey at games@parksvillelawnbowlingclub.com if you are interested in overseeing this Draw.
As expected, the sign up for the Club Triples has been brisk! As of today we have filled all the spots for Skips, Thirds and Leads with one Skip on a the Spare list.
We have turned off online registrations at this time. However, if you are still interested in playing one or both days, please send Joey an email at games@parksvillelawnbowlingclub.com or add your name to the list posted in the Sunroom. Your name will then be added to the Spares List.
With two weeks to go before the event, we can expect there will be some adjustments on player availability and it is always great to have some people willing to play.

The Courtenay Lawn Bowling Club is hosting two more open tournaments this year and has space in both.
Men’s Classic Pairs: June 19, 20, 21. This is a 3 day tournament with 2 games on Friday, 3 games on Saturday, and then possibly 2 games on Sunday. This cost is $100/team.
2-4-2 Pairs (Gender Neutral): August 1, 2. This is always a fun and popular tournament. I am hoping to copy what we just had with our Scotch Pairs tournament and have a full slate of 32 teams. We are over 20 at this time. Lots of time, but I am confident, this one is going to fill up.

It’s a new month and with it comes a new Draw time!
Starting Thursday June 4, there will be a 10 end draw started @ 6:30 pm. Please have tags in by 6:15.
The Friday night Draw will be discontinued at this time.
We are looking for either one more Ladies Pair or two more Men’s Pairs for our June 27/28 Strawberry Bowl Ladies’ & Men’s Pairs tournament.

Our first Club Tournament will be a Triples Team of Chance event.
Registration will be online only and will open on June 2nd at 8:00 am and close on June 16th or when the event is full. Members of all skill levels (Novices included) are encouraged to join this friendly yet slightly competitive event.
