It is a great year to consider playing as the Playdowns are taking place in Qualicum Beach (Men’s Triples) and Nanaimo (Ladies’ Triples).
The Conditions of Play for the leagues have been posted to the Calendar, and online entries open on May 5th.

Another successful open house weekend and so much nicer weather than last year. Thank you to everyone for the time you spent at the open house. You helped make it a success.
We have 30 signed up for lessons and 5 more contacting me when they return from travels.

For your efforts, the Garage Sale brought in excess of $4,700 to our club coffers!

I am going to put in an order for white shirts with Parksville Lawn Bowling Club embroidered on them. Cost is $30, $32, $34 depending on size.
An order sheet will be posted on a board in the sunroom along with the spec sheets. I also have 2 ladies sized samples which will be hanging around.
I will be putting in an order on May 6.
FYI: When you bowl in an open tournament and some club tournaments, all team members have to be dressed in the same colours. White shirts are the easiest to match. Which is not to say you can’t wear white shirts with the club name on them at all times.

will be held @ 1:00 on April 13 in the Sunroom. Please join us if you would like to learn how the process works and/or need to brush up on your knowledge of draws. The session will take approximately 30 – 45 minutes.

On April 22, 23 and 24 at 11:00 there will be coaches available for anyone who would like some coaching before the start of the season.
We finished off the short mat season with a two day competition followed by a pizza supper. Thanks to all those who helped organize the event, provide great snacks, assist in the kitchen and help with the cleanup. A special thanks to Sandi Mitchell for her umpiring assistance during the event and to Mick Banks who provided a number of templates to assist in selecting the teams and assigning rinks.
